Apollo Horticulture Mylar Hydroponic Grow Tent - Runner Up

At four feet by four feet by over 6-1/2-feet tall, this tent may not fit in your closet. The interlocking metal poles frame the tent and support the weight of your light. The interior is lined with reflective Mylar to bathe your plants in rays from every angle possible. The thick fabric is double-stitched to cut down on light leaks, but there are no flaps over the heavy-duty zippers to completely block light.

There is a large front door for easy access, and two windows, one on each side. The tent includes mesh panels at the bottom for ventilation, as well as round openings to pipe air in and out and let power cords enter.

We like the removable Mylar floor tray because it makes it simple to clean up inside. The tent comes with instructions on how to set it up without tools—it’s very easy to assemble. Apollo Horticulture offers a 90-day warranty.

iPower Hydroponic Water-Resistant Grow Tent - Low Budget Choice

The iPower 3′ x 3′ marijuana tent is a top-selling grow tent online with positive ratings and an affordable price point. We took a closer look at it and saw that it’s quite similar to most of the other grow tents we’ve reviewed here. But it does shine in a couple of areas—as well as the price point.

One, the material they use is 3-ply vinyl, not canvas. It’s 5mm thick, very heavy-duty. Second, they seem to take extra care in how the tent is put together. The duct ports extend inside and cinch for a nice, tight fit. And the frame is heavy-duty steel poles. Plus, all the ventilation panels have zippered flaps with industrial zippers.

The removable floor tray’s handy too. Makes keeping everything clean and tidy a lot easier.

All in all, this tent provides the most bang for your buck of all the tents we reviewed.

VIVOSUN Mylar Hydroponic Grow Tent - Best For Closet Grows

We like VIVOSUN’s four by two tent. It’s short enough and small to fit easily in a closet, but still large enough to hold up to 6 at a time, depending on what you’re growing. Plus, unlike many other tent manufacturers, they offer a longer warranty up to 2 years.

What else is there to say? After all, it’s a good grow tent, from a solid brand. Dark 600D canvas fabric on the outside, reflective mylar on the inside. But VIVOSUN goes the extra mile with excellent zippers. Sturdy, top quality zippers are very important when you have to use them a lot.

The VIVOSUN tent also has a removable floor tray and support rods strong enough to hold your light panels, fans and ventilation setup.

If you’re looking for a smaller tent or because money’s tight, this could be the option for you. With solid customer reviews, this tent is already a big seller with our readers.

LAGarden Reflective Mylar Hydroponic Grow Tent - Most Reflective

An aluminum frame with powder-coated poles keeps this grow tent stable, with each rod can hold up to 88 pounds for a total weight capacity of 352 lbs!

With a fabric density of 210D (thinner than most tents in our list), it's not quite as durable as the other tents we reviewed. Tears are definitely a risk with this tent, so be careful when setting up your lights and ventilation. However, the fabric is still 100% light-proof and will prevent any odors from being emitted.

The biggest selling point on the LAGarden grow tent is the diamond Mylar interior, which is 100% reflective will ensure your plants receive as much of that precious light as possible.

Vents with mesh offer good ventilation while reducing the amount of light that can escape, but keep in mind these aren't a perfect light seal and will result in some light leakage through the vents. Multiple outputs are included for added ventilation.

The LAGarden tent comes with nylon belts for hanging your grow lights and a reflective mylar floor tray.

TopoLite Grow Tent - Most Durable

The TopoLite grow tent isn't the most reflective in our list, with 95% reflective, but it's still pretty good. The 600D tear-proof canvas exterior is up to expectations, and the double stitching and heavy-duty zippers are a nice touch for durability.

This tent also comes with with a tool bag, making it easy to collect your tools and tidy up your grow space. Stronger 19 mm powder coated steel rods make this one of the strongest grow tents we've reviewed, and can certainly hold up any weight from your lamps or ventilation. Double protected steel corners make it even more sturdy and stable. The heavy-duty metal zipper is also the most durable on the market.

If you're clumsy or like to be rough with your gear, this is the tent for you.

  • dont go cheap! My tent broke after only 6 weeks. spend a dollar to save a dime, get good weld joint. preferably solid mold corners. the rocking of zipping stresses shitty welds. my fan fell into my light and a plant. WINNING!

  • I’ve been pretty happy with my coolgrows although the zippers are a little flaky. If they trimmed them a little better and fixed up some light leakage I think they’d be higher on the list. Actually plan on buying another one next year to take my tent list to 4
